Lucas’ Nuveen Green Capital Story

Lucas previously worked in environmental conservation advocacy at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and political organizing on the Obama 2012 presidential campaign. He has an undergraduate degree from Stanford University in public policy, and dual MBA / Environmental Management degrees from Yale University.  While at Yale, he researched low-income solar deployment, battery storage in power markets, and green bank finance structures. He also spent a summer during graduate school working on real estate energy efficiency at a public housing agency. An avid musician as well, Lucas writes songs, sings, plays drums, piano, and pipe organ.

Lucas is passionate about addressing climate change by transitioning the energy sector to clean technologies, and is excited about the economic opportunity such a transition can create for main street businesses. He is excited to be at Nuveen Green Capital, which is forging a path for businesses to obtain more affordable financing, accelerating the pace of change in the commercial real estate sector.
